Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and what your rights are. It covers the website only. How information shared in counselling sessions is handled is explained to clients separately, in the counselling agreement.
Who is responsible for your information
Nursel Deniz, trading as Nursel Deniz Therapy, is the data controller. Contact: info@nurseldeniztherapy.com. ICO registration number: ZC287452.
What the website collects
- Contact form: your name, your email address and your message. The message is sent to Nursel by email and is not stored in the website’s database.
- Online booking: your name, email address and, if you choose to give it, your telephone number, together with the session, date and time you book.
- Technical information: the hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and fault-finding.
What the website does not collect
The website does not ask why you are seeking counselling, and there is no field for health information on the booking form. Please do not include sensitive personal details in a contact-form message. If you do, they will be treated as confidential and used only to reply to you.
Why your information is used, and the lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry — legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To arrange, confirm and manage your appointments, and to send booking emails and reminders — performance of a contract.
- To keep the website secure — legitimate interests.
Who your information is shared with
- We-Dev Ltd — hosting and maintenance of the website, on a server in the United Kingdom, and delivery of the emails the website sends, under a confidentiality agreement.
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365) — the practice’s email account, where messages and booking emails are received.
Your information is never sold or used for advertising.
How long information is kept
Enquiries: 12 months. Booking records: 7 years, in line with professional and tax record-keeping requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email info@nurseldeniztherapy.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
